Pedro's Challenge 2006
|

|
Here's one of our guys putting a choke an another guy! |
Feb. 2006, the second Perdro's Challenge i've been to, and yet again, only as a cheerleader. I admit i havn't competed at
all this year, so it would've probably been tragic for me to just dive in here. Pedro's is indeed challenging. John didn't
want me to fight because this contest could attract olympians, specifically scary ladies that would have been in my division
(becasue the women's wasn't divided up by rank, only weight) and these scary ladies tend to break the arms of their competitors.
i guess i should be thankful he's looking out for me. Anyway, our team did great. not too many wins, but everyone fought really
well. There were chokes happening, and lots of foot-work which is good to see. Not that there wasn't plenty of lunging around
also, and good hard throws! Yay!

After the tournament, we went out to lunch with mom, who was staying in a nearby hotel for some big line-dance convention.
Then John dropped me off in Boston where i met up with friends for the rest of the weekend. (above) John put his sunglasses
on upside down and i had to take a picure, and searched over the whole jeep thinking i left my camera at the gym in Wakefield
mass. Fortunatley i found it, so i could take that picture, and the one of Garrett (below) at Beth's place.
